This 3 days Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking safari will reward you a visit to this remarkable Rwanda safari destination. This package also features a canopy walk experience. This activity will give you a bird’s eye sight of the forest, birds and chimps.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Kigali – Nyungwe Forest National Park
Upon your arrival at the Kigali airport, you be welcomed by the guide and thereafter transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park in the southern province of Rwanda. If you arrive in the morning, you will have lunch en-route and then proceed to Nyungwe forest. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House or Nyungwe Forest Lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk
After breakfast, transfer to the park offices for briefing and after enter into the tropical rain forest to search for the shy chimpanzees hopping on the tree branches and take unforgettable photos and videos. The trek usually begins in the morning and you are likely to see chimpanzees as they wake up. Basing on their speed of movement, it is far easier to locate them before they rise.

Have lunch and in the evening, experience the only canopy walk in East Africa – Nyungwe. Canopy walk offers clear view of plants, primates, birds, and butterflies at a close range. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest-Departure
Have breakfast and thereafter embark the safari vehicle and transfer to Kigali with lunch en-route and a visit to some of the Rwanda genocide and cultural sites as you transfer back to Kigali. Drop-off at your hotel in Kigali or the airport for your onward flight.
