Tour includes one of Uganda’s off the beaten track savannah wildlife best kept secrets – Kidepo National Park then down to the Magnificent Nile River further to the tropical forest of Kibale – home of the chimpanzees on wards to Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth Park proceeding to home of the Mountain Gorilla, Bwindi Forest and further to Lake Bunyonyi –Land of many Islands then to Lake Mburo.

The Itinerary:

DAY 1: Arrival at Entebbe
Our representative will pick you from the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Laico Lake Victoria Hotel B.B

DAY 2: Flight to Kidepo National Park 1.5hrs
Depending on time of flight, head to Airport for flight to Kidepo National Park departing at 12:30hrs arriving at 14:45hrs. You will be picked by the lodge representative upon arrival. Flight times to be communicated upon confirmation of the itinerary.
Dinner and Overnight at Apoka Lodge B-L-D
Note: Flights are Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

DAY 3: Kidepo National Park Off the beaten track tour drive
Breakfast and then head for a game drive through the beautiful savannah wildlife and find the African lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards and return in time for lunch. After lunch Village Community Walk – Cultural dance performance by Lorukul community.

DAY 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park (7 hrs)
Breakfast and then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for lunch at the lunch. Murchison falls is the second savannah wildlife gem that you’ll adventure and is the largest savannah wildlife reserve in the country. You’ll have an evening savannah game drive in the safari park where you’ll find more Rothschild Giraffes than anywhere else in Africa. Vast herds of Elephants, Buffaloes, and Antelopes more of the BIG 5 game family. This is also Carnivore country and you can see lions, leopards other cats here.

DAY 5: Murchison Falls National Park
With an early rise, and delicious breakfast you will start the day with a savannah wildlife game drive on the northern bank of the Nile River, with chances of seeing giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest and different species of birds. Head back to lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Murchison Falls has the distinction of having a River flow through it, not just any River but the historic River Nile which you cross via a safe Ferry. Where you cross the Nile it flows serenely toward Lake Albert toward its northward, goal of the Mediterranean Sea. just up the river is one of the Main Attractions in the park, the most powerful waterfall in the world – Murchison Falls.

Thereafter head for the boat cruise at 14:00hrs on the placid Victoria Nile to the foot of the magnificent Murchison Falls where the Nile River plunges through a narrow crevice and over a 40 metre drop from a 7 meter gorge look out for the Nile crocodile, pools of hippo, water bucks and a variety of bird species. You will disembark and hike to the top of the falls for 1.5 hrs where you will be met by your guide before proceeding back to the lodge.

DAY 6: Murchison Falls – Fort Portal (9hrs)
Breakfast and then head to Murchison Falls after an early breakfast, head for Fort Portal on yet another amazing road trip. This is the area where Semiliki & Kibale Forest National Parks are situated; the drive is almost 8 hours arriving in the evening.

DAY 7: Chimp Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Tour
After breakfast we visit the chimpanzee tracking county, Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East-Africa. A guided nature walk in the tropical rain forest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch will be taken for the Bigodi swamp walk chances of viewing primates and bird species.

DAY 8: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park (4hrs)
After early morning breakfast, we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for lunch. If thought you had all the savannah wildlife yet, you get some more adventure excitement. 15 Days is enough time to explore the pearl of Africa.

DAY 9: Game drive and Boat cruise
Rise early at 6:00am and set out for an early morning savannah wildlife game drive at the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. You will search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for dinner. You will have your breakfast packed for you by your lodge and enjoy it in the amazing wilderness. After lunch at your Lodge, you will take on a scenic boat cruise at 14:00hrs along the Kazinga Channel, a natural and pre-historic canal that joins Lakes Edward and George. 33 kilometres long and 2 to 3 kms at its widest points, the Kazinga channel, formed by tectonic activity millions of years ago during the formation of the rift valleys. On a scheduled 3 hrs boat ride over a 12 to 14 kms stretch of the channel, guests are almost always guaranteed excellent wildlife sightings including, multitudes of hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles, wallowing buffaloes on its reedy banks, elephants, multitudes of birds including many endemics as well as hundreds of other plains game that come to it for water all day long.

DAY 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Park (6hrs)
After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi National Park via the Ishasha Sector – look out for the tree climbing lions. Have lunch and proceed to Bwindi Park after lunch. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs B-L-D

DAY 11: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast (6:30 am) head to the park headquarters and go through the formalities of track preparation and your guide will brief you on gorilla etiquette.

Tracking the gorillas through the thick undergrowth can be a strenuous task, albeit in the end, a rewarding one. Led by a park ranger, the actual trek to the gorillas’ resting place can be between 4 – 8 hours or less. Once your assigned gorilla group has been located you will spend 1 hour in their company. There after head back to the lodge for relaxation.

DAY 12: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Lake Bunyonyi – Canoe Ride ( 5hrs)
Breakfast and then head to Lake Bunyonyi arriving in time for lunch. Evening Canoe ride on the Lake.

DAY 13: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park (5hrs)
Breakfast and then we head to Lake Mburo National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you will relax at the lodge before having an evening game drive in the park, look out for wildlife, like impalas, topis, warthogs, zebras and buffaloes.

DAY 14: Lake Mburo National Park – Nature walk & Boat ride
After breakfast, with the last dying hours, we take on the last savannah wildlife game drive through the beaten paths of Lake Mburo National Park. You will follow the tracks in the safari park in search of zebras, buffaloes, impalas and maybe even the elusive elands. Return to the lodge for some relaxing and lunch. After lunch, you can go on a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the rich bird life and the hippos that are cooling off.

DAY 15: Lake Mburo National Park – Entebbe – Departure (6 hrs)
After a relaxed breakfast, you will head back to Kampala with lunch en-route arriving in early evening for your departure flight back home. B, L
