From Arusha, the 14 Days Discover Tanzania Safari & Relax in Zanzibar safari picks up on a short road trip to Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch at Tarangire safari lodge, then proceed with game drive looking out for elephants, giraffes, impalas, monkeys and occasionally the big cats. After dinner, you’ll set out for a 2 hours of the silent night game drive to look for nocturnal animals that are never seen in day time (like aardvarks, porcupines bush babies and others).

The Discover Tanzania safari tour then takes you to Lake Manyara for a village tour at Mto wa Mbu town, then continue to Manyara wildlife camp. Mto wa Mbu is a small but very busy town where people that belong to all the 120 different tribes of Tanzania live together. This easy but very exciting walk will give you an opportunity to interact with the local people and learn a lot about their daily life. A Lake Manyara national park afternoon game drive to discover the largest concentration of baboons in North Tanzania, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other birds leaves you served for that part of the Tanzania Discovery Safari before we rest up to prepare our next adventure to the Magnificent Ngorongoro Crator Reserve the next day.

In Ngororongoro you get a chance to see hippos, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, warthogs among others then transfer to Ndutu where the great migration will be from January to late April. It is one of the very few places in the parks where off-road game drive is permitted and the best place to see hunting cats (lions and cheetahs). From Ndutu you’ll take a quick one to Serengeti National Park to hang out with the big cats before we we seal off the Discover Tanzania Safari and head to Seronera airstrip with picnic lunch for your flight to Zanzibar (you might have to change flights at Arusha airport). In Zanzibar you will be transferred to Next Paradise Boutique resort for dinner and overnight in Beachfront Bungalow.

For 4 days, get the best out of Zanzibar; spend your days relaxing at the beach. The lodge organizes activities like walking, diving, fishing etc, and you may want to book those activities directly with the lodge.

The Itinerary:

DAY 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival in Arusha, we begin the most anticipated 14 Days Discover Tanzania Safari & Relax in Zanzibar holiday. You will be picked up at Kilimanjaro airport and proceed to your place of overnight stay. Overnight at The African Tulip

DAY 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch at Tarangire safari lodge. After lunch proceed with game drive in the park. Look out for elephants, giraffes, impalas, monkeys and occasionally the big cats. In the late afternoon return to Tarangire safari lodge for dinner.
After dinner you will depart for 2 hours of night game drive to look for nocturnal animals that are never seen in day time (like aardvarks, porcupines bush babies and others).

DAY 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara for a village tour at Mto wa Mbu town, then continue to Manyara wildlife camp arriving in time for lunch. DAY 4: Lake Manyara To Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro crater with picnic lunch for a full day of game viewing. This is the best place to see the endangered black rhino (less than 1000 black rhinos are left in the wild in the world). You will also have opportunities to see hippos, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, warthogs among others. In the late afternoon proceed to your place of overnight stay Ngorongoro Sopa lodge.

DAY 5: Ngorongoro Crater To Ndutu
After breakfast drive to Ndutu An’gata camp for lunch, with a short stop on a traditional Maasai village (if interested) then continue with game drive in Ndutu area. Ndutu is the area between South east Serengeti and North West Ngorongoro where the great migration will be from January to late April. This short grassland area has highly nutritious grass due to the minerals found in the area and it is where the great migration calve in February. It is one of the very few places in the parks where off-road game drive is permitted and the best place to see hunting cats (lions and cheetahs). Other animals in the place include hyenas, warthogs, elephants, giraffes and many more.

DAY 6: Ndutu
Breakfast and then spend this day at the game drives in Ndutu area exploring the great migration while looking for hunting lions and cheetahs.

DAY 7: Ndutu – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast head to Serengeti National Park arriving in time for lunch at Serengeti Sopa lodge. In the afternoon depart for game drive in the park, Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world. Here you will see most of your animals in your trip including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, impalas, giraffes and many more.
Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

DAY 8: Serengeti National Park
Breakfast and then spend this day at the game drives in Serengeti National Park.

DAY 9: Serengeti – Zanzibar
After breakfast drive to Seronera airstrip with picnic lunch for your flight to Zanzibar (you might have to change flights at Arusha airport). In Zanzibar you will be transferred to Next Paradise Boutique resort for dinner and overnight in Beachfront Bungalow.

DAY 10 & 11: Zanzibar
Get the best out of Zanzibar; spend your days relaxing at the beach. The lodge organizes activities like walking, diving, fishing etc, and you may want to book those activities directly with the lodge.

DAY 12: Zanzibar
Breakfast and then have a morning drive to Jozani forest to see the red monkey, then visit a spice farm to learn something about African spices (Zanzibar spices are very famous worldwide), visit the historical stone town then return to Next Paradise Boutique resort for dinner and overnight in a Beachfront Bungalow.

DAY 13: Zanzibar
Whole day spent relaxing at the beach. All meals and overnight will be at Next Paradise resort in a Beachfront Bungalow.

DAY 14: Zanzibar
After breakfast, you will have the day spent relaxing at the beach. Lunch will be at Next Paradise resort. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport and fly to Dar es Salaam to connect your international flight.
